Out of the Office

I will be out of the office from Wednesday, September 29th until Friday October 15th as I am apprenticing at Lucky Mojo.  I can still be reached via email and I will continue to provide readings although my times for scheduling will be limited. Client ritual work is traveling with me but reports on vigil candles will not be sent out until I return in October.

New Lucky Mojo Bottle Spells

Happily the Lucky Mojo Bottle spells that I started offering a while ago are very popular!  For those of you who don't know, this was a brainstorm that I had as I was collecting my lovely empty Lucky Mojo Curio Co oil bottles.  They are so pretty!  And they are the perfect size for mini bottle spells!  I will prepare the bottle for you, work it for two weeks and then send a report and photo just like I do with all other custom ritual work orders.  The price is great too!  There are always new bottles up for sale and the blog seems like the best place to keep an updated list.  Currently I have the following bottles to work with--click on each link to go to Lucky Mojo's website and learn the attributes of each formula:

Lodestones and the Autumnal Equinox

 

Just a reminder to all of you who work with lodestones for love and money drawing--the Autumnal Equinox is fast approaching and one traditional belief in Hoodoo is that this is the best time to clean your lodestones off, feed them with some whisky and let them dry out before anointing them with oils/cologne and setting them working for you again.  Depending on how you work with your lodestones you might find that you need to clean them off on a periodic basis, but giving them a thorough cleaning and whisky bath on the Equinox is a nice way to thank them for the work they have done for you and charge them up for another year. The Autumnal Equinox, also known as the First Day of Fall will occur on September 22nd at 11:09pm eastern standard time.  You do not have to clean off your lodestone at exactly that moment though--I was taught that you can work within a 24 hour window surrounding the Equinox.  I always use this time to thank my personal lodestones and also to clean my altars and freshen them for fall!

 

Introducing Beeswax Vigil Candles!

 

Finally!  It has long been a dream of mine to work with beeswax vigil candles and make them available to my clients.  The benefits of beeswax are amazing--for any love drawing, reconciliation, success, mastery, healing, or prosperity work you could not ask for a better natural substance imbued with powerful magic.  I love these vigil candles because they burn much longer than their paraffin counterparts which means the work I do for you lasts longer, they smell wonderful, and best of all they are ecologically much more sound than the widely available paraffin candles.  Paraffin is a petroleum by-product which means it is not the best thing to burn environmentally and it supports the oil industry.  While I am by no means clean and pure when it comes to my carbon footprint I do like to make changes where I can--especially after the devastation we witnessed in the Gulf of Mexico this year.  

The downside of course is cost--beeswax vigil candles are 3-4 times more expensive than paraffin glass candles even at wholesale costs. However, I have found a way around that which I think will work for everyone.  My premium beeswax vigil candles will be priced at $35/light.  However, you will get much more for your dollar than you do with the paraffin candles.  You will get:

1.) A custom blended vigil light--These beeswax vigil candles will all be customized with blends of oils, herbs, roots and curios specific to your needs--we can discuss exactly what you want and I will create a candle for your specific situation.  Custom paraffin candles will no longer be available though clients may still order paraffin candles with specific formulas which are available at my webstore.  

2.) Emailed candle report with a picture of your candle!  Paraffin candles will continue to receive emailed candle reports, but no pictures.

3.) A longer-lasting burn=longer lasting magic!  Keep your work going longer and stronger.
