Off Again!

    

 This time I am headed to the Davis Mountains and Big Bend National Park in West Texas.  The deserts of West Texas are amazing in their stark beauty, but this trip is not all pleasure.  Several ancestors are buried in little cemeteries throughout the Western part of the state and I will be collecting graveyard dirt from them!  I will be available sporadically through email and phone, but mostly I will be out on trails hiking, visiting graveyards, and in retreat.  If you ordered vigil lights last week I am letting you know now that I have already started them!

Well, I moved successfully and am back in my home state!  Lots has been going on and I am still about a week behind on candle reports, but I am lighting vigil lights for folks and doing readings from my new (temporary) residence.  In the meantime, its January and freezing outside which means that more than usual having access to a good novel is imperative.  I have been a fan of all of Elizabeth Cunningham's novels but her chronicle of the life and times of Mary (Maeve) Magdalen takes the cake.  The third book in the series, Bright, Dark, Madonna takes place in the time period right after Jesus' death and resurrection and it is as pleasant and fun to read as all the others!  If you like your Biblical stories with a twist, some fun, and some scandal, then you will enjoy each and every one of these books!
